COLLAGRAPH

COLLAGRAPH, CARBORUNDUM AND DRYPOINT ETCHING
THE STONES AT STONEHENGE AND AVEBURY are ancient. Believed to have been built around 4 thousand years ago, they have stood (and fallen), open to erosion, attack and scrutiny and yet they still hold a fascination.
This series of collagraph printmaking focuses on the feel and experience of the place. It seems they have been to describe the solar system as it was seen all those years ago by fine engineers and so I have brought the skies down to meet the stones in this fashion.

Accolades and Crtique
Fantastic! One moment it is an abstract, then it seems like prehistoric art, and suddenly I am transported to outer space. Other than being dizzy, I really like the form and colors! - Jeff Reeve
