It's been a while - Corona Virus or Covid-19 had stopped us all in our tracks, and without testing it is impossible to be 100% sure, but this was painted when I was in isolation with the virus.
Almost immediately the weather changed from months of rain to clear blue skies and sun. Painted early one March morning, the skies were just saying goodbye to some high cirrus clouds as a heat haze was building on the far horizon. The trees were not quite in leaf yet making for a landscape of strong block colour and line.
For anyone reading this post, I hope you are well and have not lost someone close. Or maybe this is a memory now and it is in the past? Whichever, may your days be filled with blue skies too.
