Delivering work to 44AD Studio in Bath ready for their Edition 4: machine and mercurial exhibition; a short exhibition running from the 16th to the 20th May (2018).
44AD artspace is a lovely gallery situated in the centre of Bath (right next to the Roman Baths) which supports many artists both local, and from further afield.
My piece was made especially for the exhibition using the plaster printmaking technique started in January. (In fact, this is the second made as the first was more colourful). After making a few larger tiles, the 'storyboard' effect of many tiles in a loose sequence seemed to illustrate the concept better.
'Driving Home in The Dark' comprises nine abstract tiles each one looking at a snapshot of travelling when the wold is lit tunnel-vision style by car headlights.
Here's a couple of teaser detail shots to give you an idea. Want more? Hop along to the gallery to see the bigger picture.
