Catkins and furrows, the print

Before we were covered in an unseasonal cloak of snow, I made some sketches in the south field, fully expecting them to be the linear lead-up to warming Spring. How wrong I was. Named by the media as 'the beast from the east' who shook hands with a storm coming up from the south, beautifully resulting in many shades of snow.

Monday, and the sun shines on a steadily greening landscape once more.

A sketch using pen, and tape was realised in the print workshop last Wednesday.

Using oil-based inks on 250 gsm Fabriano, the view from next to a tree looking out onto the south field.

Monday, and it's back to greening landscapes and sunshine.
