INCISIONE A COLLAGRAFO, CARBORINDUM E PUNTO SECCO
LE PIETRE DI STONEHENGE E AVEBURY sono antiche. Creduto costruiti circa 4mila anni fa, sono rimasti (e sono caduti), aperti all'erosione, agli attacchi e allo scrutinio eppure conservano ancora un fascino.
Questa serie di stampe a collagraph si concentra sulla sensazione e l'esperienza del luogo. Sembra che siano stati per descrivere il sistema solare come è stato visto tanti anni fa da ottimi ingegneri e così ho portato i cieli in basso per incontrare le pietre in questo modo.

Collagraph Mercury nears the sun, ready to pass across its vast surface like a boat in the cosmos.

Collagraph Oil-based relief printing inks on 250 gsm Fabriano. The stone were part sculpture, part canvas on which to describe the skies. This last piece take the idea a step further, removing the stone completely and looking to the stars.
