COLLAGRAPH, CARBORUNDUM UND TROCKENPUNKTÄTZUNG
DIE STEINE VON STONEHENGE UND AVEBURY sind uralt. Believed Sie wurden vor rund 4.000 Jahren gebaut, standen (und fielen), waren Erosion, Angriffen und Überprüfungen ausgesetzt, und dennoch üben sie immer noch eine Faszination aus.
Diese Serie von Collagraph-Druckgrafiken konzentriert sich auf das Gefühl und die Erfahrung des Ortes. Es scheint, dass sie versucht haben, das Sonnensystem zu beschreiben, wie es vor all den Jahren von guten Ingenieuren gesehen wurde, und so habe ich den Himmel mitgebracht hinunter, um die Steine auf diese Weise zu treffen.

Collagraph Oil-based relief printing inks on 250 gsm Fabriano. The stone were part sculpture, part canvas on which to describe the skies. This last piece take the idea a step further, removing the stone completely and looking to the stars.

Fantastisch! In einem Moment ist es abstrakt, dann wirkt es wie prähistorische Kunst, und plötzlich werde ich in den Weltraum versetzt. Abgesehen davon, dass ich schwindelig bin, mag ich die Form und die Farben wirklich! -Jeff Reeve
